“Every once in a while it’s nice to be proved right.” When you’re young, free, and at the start of your career, that may be true, and may even be something you catch yourself saying or at least thinking out loud. Somewhen, as you get towards the (hopefully) mid-point, this transmutes into “Every once in a while it would be nice to be proved wrong.” It’s easy to view this as a combination of a growing wisdom and jaded outlook. What I’m looking for is an alternative, more positive, explanation.
When I figure one out, I’ll let you know.
